Resurgent rocker Bob Seger and his Silver Bullet Band, who are in the midst of their first tour in a decade, have rolled out a sizable batch of early 2007 dates.Â (Buy Tickets)After capping their current stretch of shows with a four-night stand on their Detroit-area home turf, Seger and company will barely have time to catch their breath before launching the New Year with a Jan. 6 show in Orlando, FL. That performance is one of more than a dozen newly confirmed stops that stretch into mid-February.Â

Seger is supporting his September release, “Face the Promise,” which is his first studio set since 1995′s “It’s a Mystery.” The interval between the two discs is the longest in the 61-year-old singer’s career. The new album’s lead-off single, “Wait For Me,” is streaming at Seger’s website, as is the album’s title track and a third cut titled “Wreck this Heart.”

Bob Seger just keeps on rocking!Â Â Seger, currently performing to near-capacity crowds in arenas throughout the Midwest, has added aÂ dates toward the end of December in his Detroit-area home base of Auburn Hills, MI. Seger has also made some steps into next year with new January dates in Boston and Charlotte, and a pair of February shows in Texas.Seger–who is backed on the tour by a 10-piece band featuring a horn section and longtime Silver Bullet Band members Chris Campbell, Craig Frost and Alto Reed, will make his next stopÂ tonight in Milwaukee. The tour kicked off Nov. 8 in Grand Rapids, MI.
