It is now summer time as I’m sure most of you can tell with the days getting hotter and hotter.  There are a lot of concerts going on this summer and early fall so so I thought I would create a post here asking what concerts or shows you have plans to attend?

Maybe you aren’t heading out for a concert but instead a baseball game.  Tickets are are hot in places like New York City, Boston, and Chicago as they always are.  I’m suprised with how high some of the Cubs bleacher tickets are selling for during the upcoming series against the Cardinals in August.  Secondary prices are hitting the $180-$185 per ticket for that Saturday game!  Of course, we have the MLB all star game happening next week as well and it is going to cost $400 just to get into the stadium for the non-alcoholic seats in Yankee Stadium.

Don’t forget that the NFL and College Football season is upon on.  Four to six more weeks and you will really be hearing about the NFL and College tickets.  Tickets are already available from season tickets holders so it is a perfect time to buy and get the great seats at every stadium!

80’s band Def Leppard who are touring in Europe have added six new dates to their upcoming U.S. tour with dates added for Biloxi, MS; Des Moines, IA; Omaha, NE; Dayton, OH; and Syracuse, NY.  Billy Idol will open the majority of the shows (Aug. 6-15 and 17-21), and special guests on other select dates include Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (July 30 - Aug. 3), Everclear (Aug. 16) and Styx/REO Speedwagon (Aug. 23).

Montley Crue just released their latest album titled “Saints of Los Angeles” and are getting ready to head out on the road for their upcoming Crue Fest Tour.  The Tour is going to rock as they hit up over 40 cities starting July 1st.  Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Nikki Sixx’s side project Sixx:A.M. and Trapt will all be appearing on the tour with the Crue.

Legendary band Kiss has plans to play atleast four shows once they return to the US from their world wide tour.  So far dates have been added in Sturgis, SD ; Las Vegas, NV ; Stateline, NV ; and Kelseyville, CA.

The current KISS lineup consists of mainstays Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, along with guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer, who replace original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, respectively.

If you haven’t seen Kiss live in concert, do yourself a favor and do it.  They put on one of the best live shows by any band even though they are getting up there in age.  Look for tickets here.

Once again the Jonas Brothers (buy tickets) have added dates to their upcoming tour that will kick off July 4th in Toronto Canada.  The new dates are a second show in Anaheim, a third show in New York City, and shows in Baltimore, University Park, Tampa, and West Palm Beach.

The Jonas Brothers are taking a page out of big bands playbook by adding additional shows in the same markets once one of their shows sells out.  Hopefully the demand will be there for multiple shows in some of the cities.
