Alternative Rockers Blind Melon are planning out a 2008 comeback tour where they will be hitting around 25 cities.  The returning band members feel that the time is right to get back together after their lead singer died of a drug overdose in 1995.

Reggae-rock band 311 from Omaha Nebraska is lining up some dates before the big 3-11 day in New Orleans.  The band expects to play about 10 shows during the US outing, which is scheduled to kick off Feb. 22 in Las Vegas. So far, concerts are also confirmed in Tulsa, OK; Richmond, VA; Cypress, FL; and Tallahassee, FL. The trek will culminate March 11 with 3-11 Day at the New Orleans Arena.

It is uknown at this time if 311 will be adding more dates to the tour.  I wouldn’t think so as they are working on their next album while in Los Angeles.  I’d recommend getting to one of these shows and not hope for more dates to be added.  (Find 311 Tickets Here)

Rock band Puddle of Mudd played a show a few nights ago in Grand Prarie, Texas and will be back on tour full time starting Feb 5th in Grand Prarier, Alberta.  The tour will kick off up in Canada before making it’s way down to the USA.  Rockers Neurosonic and Tyler Read will open the shows for Puddle of Mudd.

They will be touring after releasing their “Famous” album last October.  “Psycho” is the single that everyone is hearing on the radio from the Famous Album.  I’d recommend checking these guys out, I’d expect you to hear their 3-4 popular songs from past albums as well so that is always nice.

New country star Taylor Swift continues to add dates to her 2008 tour.  The singer/songwriter, who just celebrated her 18th birthday, will start with a Jan. 12 gig opening for Alan Jackson in Nashville, then move on to visit US cities from coast-to-coast through February before heading out with Rascal Flatts on a five-city Canadian trek. Swift is also scheduled to play Indio, CA’s Stagecoach Festival in May, and she has a headlining slot on July’s Country Jam USA in Eau Claire, WI

If you want to watch one of the most promising country singers in the world, get out and watch Taylor Swift.  She is beautiful, and plays some of the greatest music.  Swift first picked up a guitar and started writing her own songs at the age of 12!  Now that is talented!  Talent that is a must see.

Crazy Rocker Marilyn Manson will be hitting the tour bus for a winter trek that will take him all around the USA.  Manson will mostly be playing ballrooms and smaller venue setups so it will be a great time see him if you wanted to get close!

Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood continue to add dates to their upcoming Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride Tour.  Dates were added in the past few days for Atlanta, Hershey, and Tallahassee.  Pre-sales for those cities happened yesterday via Urban’s and Underwood’s fan clubs.

I would expect to see shows added every few weeks or so for this tour.  Usually the pre-sales happen on Tuesday mornings at 10 am local time where the show will be.  I would recommend signing up for Carrie Underwood’s fan club, as her tickets are alot better then Urban’s for this tour.  Atleast in my ticket pulling that has been the case.

Ex-Fugees member Wyclef Jean will be hitting the roads touring in January and March.  Jean will be touring to back his forthcoming studio album, “Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant.”

“Carnival Vol. II,” Jean’s sixth studio effort as a solo artist since leaving critically acclaimed hip-hop trio The Fugees, is due in stores Tuesday (12/4). Jean self-produced the disc with help from singer Akon, Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, and longtime producer/collaborator Jerry “Wonder” Duplessis, who is also the performer’s cousin.

The album features guest contributions from a wide-ranging group of artists, including Mary J. Blige, Paul Simon, Chamillionaire, Shakira and System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian.

Kid Rock is getting back on the tour bus and will kick off his “Rock N Roll” tour on Jan 25th in Evansville, IN and will finish up March 22nd in Toledo, Ohio.  Kid Rock still has a good amount of fans that like his rock and country songs.  I think this will be more of a rock tour, so get out there and get crazy!
