Dave Matthews Band has its summer plans ready, which include an extensive US outing.Dates get underway July 8 in Bridgeview, IL, and take the band from coast to coast, ending with a five-show California run in late September/early October. The trek includes two-night stands in Mansfield, MA; Hartford, CT; Camden, NJ; Noblesville, IN; East Troy, WI; West Palm Beach, FL; and Los Angeles. The band will also do a three-day gig–with an option for camping–at George, WA’s famed Gorge Amphitheatre Aug. 31-Sept. 2.

Opening acts that will take turns on the tour include Guster, Robert Earl Keen, Stephen Marley, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, The Roots, Xavier Rudd, Toots & the Maytals, Umphrey’s McGee, The Wailers, and Pete Yorn.

Velvet Revolver getting ready to head out on a world tour that precedes the release of its sophomore set, “Libertad.”

VR will start with a handful of mid-April shows in South America and then spend May in the US, playing gigs from California to New York and stopping off in Toronto along the way. The band will then head across the pond for a European trek that kicks off June 1 in Germany. North American shows are listed below.

Earlier this month, VR vocalist Scott Weiland told MTV News the band would be back in North America at the end of the summer for another run of dates.

Following the European run of his Summer Tour, Justin Timberlake will be back in North America for an additional 15 dates.The second North American leg, which will include a special appearance by Timbaland, will kick off Aug. 6 in Timberlake’s hometown of Memphis. The dates are now set for Rush’s Snake and Arrows tour that will be going through North America aswell as Europe this summer and fall.The 45-date North American run, Rush’s first since the group’s 30th anniversary jaunt in 2004, kicks off June 13 in Atlanta and hits cities all over the US and Canada through Sept. 21. Those shows are listed below. The European leg, which is detailed at the band’s website, picks up Oct. 3.

The outing supports Rush’s forthcoming album, “Snakes & Arrows,” which is due May 1. “Snakes” is the band’s first set of new material since 2002’s “Vapor Trails.” It was recorded last fall with Grammy-winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver) sharing production duties with the band.

The album’s recently released first single, “Far Cry,” was the No. 1 most-added song at rock radio and has scored a Top 10 spot on rock-radio charts, according to a press release. The cut is streaming at Rush’s website.

The Los Lonely Boys have mapped out a busy summer as they look to hit the road behind a documentary DVD that tells their story.The trio, which also continues to back its 2006 studio album, “Sacred,” will kick off a long stretch of dates Sunday (3/25) in Wichita Falls, TX. The band’s itinerary–which is listed in full below–is a mixed bag of headlining dates and festival appearances, with the emphasis turning more to the festival side as summer wears on.

ZZ Top is ready to live the concert life once again.  They will be doing their first concert since 2005 starting tonight in Biloxi Mississippi.

ZZ Top’s most recent studio album, “Mescalero,” was released in 2003; a two-disc hits collection, “Rancho Texicano: The Very Best of ZZ Top,” followed in 2004. Rumors have been swirling that the group is working on a new record.

Formed in 1969, ZZ Top is one of very few rock-and-roll bands with its original members still intact after three decades.  ZZ Top–Billy Gibbons (vocals/guitar), Dusty Hill (bass) and Frank Beard (drums)–was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and recently was inducted into the City of Houston’s Hall of Fame, as well.

Hip-hop veteran Nas has announced dates for a headlining tour in April as he continues to back his best-selling recent album, “Hip Hop is Dead.”The rapper will kick off his schedule April 2 in Cleveland, the first of 23 cities on an outing that will focus on nightclubs and small theaters. Country music superstars Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn are pairing up for a co-headlining tour this year.The North American outing, which comprises nearly 30 coast-to-coast dates, kicks off May 10 in Virginia Beach, VA, and wraps with several October shows in Florida. Details are listed below.

Collectively, the two Grammy-winning acts have scored more than 50 No. 1 singles and sold almost 80 million albums, according to a press release.

Newcomers Jake Owen and Catherine Britt will open the Jackson/Brooks & Dunn trek. Owen, one of the top-selling new male artists of 2006, is riding high on his hit single “Yee Haw,” from his debut album, “Startin’ with Me,” according to a press release. Australian beauty Britt is currently on the airwaves with “What I Did Last Night,” the first single from her upcoming RCA Nashville debut.
