Unearth ready to open up for Slayer
Metal band Unearth cannot wait to start touring with verteran metal band Slayer says their vocalist Trevor Phipps.
“I don’t know of any metal heads that do not like Slayer,” Phipps explained during a recent e-mail interview. “My first real concert was seeing ‘Clash of the Titans’ with Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth when I was 12 years old. Hell, the band I was in in high school even covered ‘Dead Skin Mask.’
“Needless to say, we are all stoked as all hell to be part of this tour. We have hung out with [Slayer guitarist] Kerry King a bunch of times and he is a cool cat. We are all looking forward to getting to know the other dudes as well.”
