Veteran speed metal band Slayer has recruited up-and-coming Unearth for a post-holiday tour hrough more than 20 North American venues. 

The tour will launch in Arizona January 24 at the Tucson Convention Center. The two bands will blaze through the West Coast and into the Midwest and Canada by early February, then cover the eastern seaboard for two weeks.  The tour will finish in Florida with concerts in Lake Buena Vista and Ft. Lauderdale February 23-24.

News and dates for the upcoming tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Gnarls Barkley are starting to spread around the Internet the past few days.  Fans of both are patiently waiting to buy first row and floor seats for the spectacular concert tour.

The first batch of confirmed dates kicks off Jan. 12 in Oklahoma City, with 17 shows currently on the burner. A March 7 date in Houston closes the outing in its present form; the October announcement touted a three-month run for the two groups, with shows beginning in January. More dates are expected to be confirmed soon, according to the Chili Peppers management.

Hoobastank which has been on tour with Nickelback since releasing its third album, Every Man For Himself, will launch its latest tour November 15 in Spartanburg, S.C., heading to Florida that same week for radio shows in three cities.  The band has more than two dozen dates planned, with the Stateside tour set to finish December 22 in Los Angeles.
